In Sappada there some particularly interesting places to visit for their historical and natural characteristics.
Source of the Piave. These
can be reached by car from the top end of Sappada, known as Cima
Sappada, along the valley of Val Sesis. The spring where this important
historic river is born lies at the feet of the mountain Peralba.
Park of Alpine Fauna. This park is situated near the centre of village in the hamlet of Muhlbach. Here you will be able to see wild deer.
Cascatelle.
These waterfalls are also located in the hamlet of Muhlbach, where a
path follows the water current along the mountain side, giving the
opportunity to see many small waterfalls which lead to a spectacular
fall at the end of the path.
Orrido dell’Aquatona.
This a deep gorge escavated by the force of the water that runs through
the Rio named Acquatona, which then joins the River Piave after falling
50 metres. The gorge can be found at the exit to the village on the
main road to S. Stefano di Cadore.
Ethnic Museum.
A collection of objects and written documents on display that recall
the daily life and culture of Sappada as it was many years ago. The
museum is situated in the hamlet of Bach and is open during the summer
season.
Il Piccolo Museo della Grande Guerra.
Collects a large number of World War One findings, telling the life of
soldiers during the fighting in Sappada and the Dolomite's area. The
museum is in Borgata Mülbach, near the start of the Cascatelle path.

Casa-museo della civilta contadina.
This house is built of wood in the architectural style of the village
and is preserved in perfect condition on the inside as well. Being in
the house gives a glimpse of what life would have been like at the time
living as a local in the village. This house is found is the hamlet of
Cretta and again is open during the summer season.
S. Margherita.
This is the local parish church, built in typical Baroque style during
1779 containing several alfresco’s of particular value. The church is
situated in the hamlet of Granvilla.
Regina Pacis. A
modern sanctuary built in the 70’s as per a vote conducted in the
Second World War. Regina Pacis can be found in the hamlet of Soravia.
S.Osvaldo.
This is the little church of Cima Sappada, built in 1732 and recently
restored. It is very alpine in style and well worth a visit inside.
Calvario. From
a path that begins its ascent in Muhlbach and along its route takes you
past 13 small chapels and a small church representing the 14 stations
of carrying the cross by Jesus Christ.
